Ten years ago, my family moved to Chandler because of the strong programs offered in the Chandler Unified School District.  My daughters were CATS students through elementary school, and attended Arizona College Prep-Erie for junior high and high school.  These programs prepared them for success in the honors programs at ASU and U of A.
 
In addition to finding a rigorous program for my daughters, I was searching for a great place to teach.  I joined experienced educators at Andersen Elementary, and then I found my niche at CUSD’s original “Back to Basics” school, CTA Liberty.
 
CUSD provides many unique academic programs for the diverse communities it serves.  Full-day kindergarten, gifted, dual-language, STEM, college-prep, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and even on-line classes are offered.  Our schools have been recognized as A+ School of Excellence more than 80 times!
 
I am grateful that my children, and others in Chandler, have access to such a strong public school district. I urge you to support the 2017 Override so that these fantastic programs continue to be available. Because the override is a continuation, property taxes will not increase. Join me in voting YES on the 2017 CUSD Override!
