"As a parent of two children who are enrolled in the Chandler Unified School District, I feel it is important that we continue to support our local school district with their upcoming election. CUSD works for excellence in every student, teacher, and administrator. The dedication is recognized by Chandler being independently ranked among the best districts in Arizona. Chandler schools educate more than 45,000, as the second largest district in the state. For the past decade, I have volunteered on CUSD Budget Committees and PAC committies. I also am a former CUSD Educator. I have seen first hand the financial hardships education has endured over the past two decades. As state money becomes unreliable, the district is forced to depend on more local support. This continuation of the existing Maintenance and Operations Override is an investment in Chandler’s future. Please join me in voting Yes."

"Business and education have a direct correlation, and as the owner of multiple car dealerships and collision repair, I am supportive of the continuation of the Chandler Unified School District’s Maintenance and Operations Override. A quality education is critical for a strong workforce. In Chandler and Gilbert, we are fortunate to have a system that offers my employees’ children access to a first-class education. It is a system that will put their children on track to have the skills needed to be employed in our knowledge-based economy. A world-class education starts in kindergarten and even before. By voting “Yes” to continue the existing override, we are providing our most precious resource - our children - with quality teachers and enhanced learning opportunities to meet the requirements of our economy, advanced technology, rich learning environments, and safe and secure schools - all while maintaining low class sizes. I am beyond grateful to our community for the continued support it provides to our schools. Thank you for supporting our children. I hope you will join me in voting “Yes” for Chandler students in November."

"I am a proud alumni of Chandler High School. I will always be grateful for the education I received. After earning a Master’s degree from Stanford, I returned to serve my city. In addition to my two terms on the City Council, I have also worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations that give back to our community. As a CUSD student, the citizens of Chandler invested in me, and I am happy to return the favor. Simply put, an override is an investment. When a community elects to support its local schools, the benefits are shared by all. The success of CUSD is the productof years of wise leadership, good financial stewardship, quality teachers, and local support. The previous override allowed the district to attract and retain quality teachers, maintain low student-teacher ratios and enhance educational programs that families loved. You will have the option this November to continue this existing override. Since it is a continuation, no additional tax will be levied. A yes vote equals a $0 tax increase. CUSD is an integral part of this community. Please support our local schools and vote YES this November."

"While no one really wants a continuous tax, citizens recognize the fact that taxes provide the funds needed to build and sustain a great community. Perhaps the most important item funded by taxes is education. In America, we are fortunate to be able to vote for the infrastructure, amenities and education provided through tax dollars, thus giving us local control. I am happy to vote YES for the November 2nd CUSD Override Continuation Election. I am proud of the fact that you and I have a voice in how our community children are educated and I am proud knowing that the CUSD Governing Board and Administration listens to us as taxpayers, parents and citizens of this school district. CUSD has a strong reputation of providing full transparency in how our tax dollars are spent, and I have always been well-satisfied with the answers I have received to my questions regarding expenditures of the district. Without the adequate funds provided by local elections, we cannot provide the tools and atmosphere necessary for academic achievement. Please Vote YES to help continue the current Maintenance and Operations Override, this is a great investment!"
