Chandler Unified School District continues to strive to be the District of choice in their pursuit of new ways to improve and expand educational opportunities desired and needed by the community.
The CUSD Governing Board has called for a 15 percent maintenance and operations override election to ensure the district has safer schools, teachable class size and great teachers. We need your “YES” vote in October.
Watch for the mail-in ballot and remember to Open It, Mark It YES! and Mail It!

The CUSD Governing Board has called for a 15 percent maintenance and operations override election to ensure the district has safer schools, teachable class size and great teachers. We need your “YES” vote in October.
Watch for the mail-in ballot and remember to Open It, Mark It YES! and Mail It!
A “Yes” Vote:
1. Promotes top-level student achievement by sustaining effective programs and services
2. Maintains favorable student-teacher ratios and current class sizes for more individual student attention
3. Enhances school safety by hiring 15 additional school security officers, expanding mass notification systems, and enhancing classroom security
4. Ensures CUSD continues to attract and retain high quality teachers and support staff
5. Maintains extracurricular programs, including athletics, fine arts and tutoring
A “No” Vote:
1. Increases class sizes
2. Reduces or eliminates programs for students
3. Reduces teaching staff – the equivalent of one teacher per grade level at every elementary school over three years
4. Institutes Pay for Play for all extracurricular activities including athletics
(CUSD is the only Southeast Valley public school district not charging to compete in sports)
5. Cuts services and employees who maintain facilities
